The ones who knew the Lord — they're home and they're right

Everything is temporary — in the eternal I trust

A sinner saved by grace walking through this life
Running on faith through the toil and the strife
Day by day blessed by Christ and looking at the wins
Woke up this morning upright — rising past my sins

Walking in the Spirit — I'm starting to thrive

Choose the joy that God gives over everything sad

Choices made and choices we still make each day
Walk in faith and let the Spirit show the way

Narrow road but guided by the Shepherd's hand

Moonlight shining through the window of the ICU
Sitting in a chair watching someone I once knew
Looking down on a face so pale and still and tired
Sitting with death has a different weight and fire

Pain is loss and loss is pain — I know it doesn't fade
Time may walk on past the wound but the wound's still been made
Memories made in living rooms and years gone by so fast
How do you hold a full life when it's breathing its last

Live a full life — ain't no getting out
Know Christ your Savior — that's what life's about
Don't leave your soul in the hole when they shut that lid
Give it all to Jesus like the thief on the cross did

Pale moonlight and clouds up above looking down smiling
The ones who've gone before feel closer in the silence
Dry bones rising on the horizon bright and clear
The empty grave says death ain't something we should fear

Appointed once to die — that day will come for me
But the One who holds my hand has swallowed death in victory
Shadow of the valley low, but I will fear no wrong
Thy rod and thy staff — they comfort me along

Live a full life — ain't no getting out
Know Christ your Savior — that's what life's about
Don't leave your soul in the hole when they shut that lid
Give it all to Jesus like the thief on the cross did

Vapor in the wind… dust to dust and back…
But the third day rising means He's got my back…

The closer I walk with God the more I see it clear
The longer that I live the more the truth appears
Liars and users, takers not the givers
Selfish and fake — I feel it in my liver
People don't care how you feel — they show what they feel
The double-edged sword cuts deep — the wounds are real

But I was made in the image of God
Saved by Christ — I carry the rod
Called to help and spread the Word
Even when I go unseen and unheard

As they have done to Him they're gonna do to you

Bitterness and forgiveness fight inside my chest
Forgiveness takes the anchor — bitterness arrests
Wrong and right — I'm keeping both in sight
Walk the high road but I'm staying in the fight

The Substitutionary Lamb — His blood was fully spilled

The Shepherd knows His own and calls and always keeps

Blood-bought, justified
Stone rolled away, glorified
Finished work — it is enough
His grace is real, His Word is tough

Slinging stones at Goliath — moving mountains by faith
The battlefield of the mind is where the enemy plays
Principalities and powers — fiery darts in the air
Shield of faith, helmet of salvation, I declare
The roaring lion circles but his teeth are all broke

Stronghold broken — captive soul set free
Chains falling off like they did for Paul and Silas, believe
